Finally it arrives!!

Well my replacement drive came - finally! It's bigger than I thought it would be and I've spent the last two days moving all my files off the laptop onto the new drive. It's been going slow because I am also organizing as I go. Separating business, home, personal, design files, etc all into different folders.

Since it is such a large drive I am also using it to back up my other computer so I don't have this issue again. As I write this I am tackling my pictures and that is a huge transfer - I am already at 19,000+ images and counting - eek! I guess I am officially a photo nut huh?

It stands upright so right now I have it between my laptop and iMac and I can just plug it into either machine. No more transferring files between the shared folders - yippie!

So I expect it will be another week before I am back up to full productivity as I cannot reinstall XP on my laptop until I have made a list of all the programs I use. This is the part I am dreading because I really don't want to find that I have reinstalled and lost some vital programs. I am looking forward to wiping out all the bugs/glitches that develop as time goes by when you are using a computer (or at least I hope they will be gone lol)

I have quite a few projects on the go so I can't just drop everything to get this all fixed up. Oh well, it will all be over soon right?
