If you’re in charge of shopping carts at your work, you may want to make sure they’re all in the car before pulling away.

Woman Suing Manager For Throwing Coins Down Her Pants
Like many people, I’m fed up with all the frivolous lawsuits and ticky-tack claims of sexual harassment. However, I do have to agree a line was crossed when a manager pulled back the pants of an employee while throwing coins down her pants as another employee shouted “Jackpot”.
Of course that’d be sexual harassment and is grounds for a lawsuit, though I do think the woman is overreacting and milking it quite a bit when she says “My whole life has changed since the incident. I don’t trust anyone”. If your whole life changes because of an incident like that, then you’ve got some serious issues.
File that under crackpot.

Halloween Prank Gone Wrong
Halloween makes for a great opportunity to prank some coworkers. However, make sure you protect yourself if you decide to go with a “startle” type prank.
Postal Thief Caught Wearing Stolen Thong
If you’re a postman and decide to start stealing from packages, you may want to reconsider wearing items you stole around the office, especially if one of those items is a stolen thong.
Obviously the guy has multiple issues going on, issues that would make for a hilarious work environment. Of course, you’d have to be sure not to leave any of your underwear lying around.

Humorous Resume Lies
Sometimes you may think your resume needs a little spicing up with the help of a fib or two. If that’s the case, you may want to make sure your lies aren’t quite as noticable as the ones found in this list.
A few examples include, claiming to be a CEO when they were making hourly wages, inventing a school that doesn’t exist, and listing military experience that dated back to before the candidate was born. I’ve had to look through numerous resumes myself and one thing people seem to keep lying about is the amount of experience they have with the specific technology that the job requires. It’s quite amazing how often they put that they have worked with the technology for longer than it has even existed. Don’t know about you, but that’s seems like a bit of a give away to me.

Employee Sues For Being Asked to Handle Alcohol
I’m all for religious tolerance and am against discrimination in the workplace, but when you decide to sue your former employer because they asked you to do a common task that’s against your beliefs, perhaps you shouldn’t have taken the job in the first place?
This is another one of those cases where common sense seems to be left by the wayside as a person’s sense of entitlement takes over. The guy in the story took a job that involves transporting very goods, and it turns out that some of those goods just so happen to be alcoholic beverages. I think it’s up to the employee to find out if the job they take involves anything that’s against their beliefs, not the employer. In fact, in the United States, you can get into quite a bit of trouble if you ask about a potential employee’s beliefs in an interview.
Just because you have certain beliefs that prohibit you from doing certain tasks at a job, doesn’t mean you are entitled to getting out of those tasks without consequence. That’s like a vegetarian suing McDonalds because they had to cook hamburgers. You’re free to believe in whatever you’d like. You’re also free to find a job that doesn’t make you bend or break any of those beliefs.

Trouble With the New Guy at Work Video
Sometimes the new guy at work just doesn’t fit in. Other times he just beats the crap out of people…
Hotel Fires Male Employees and Hires All Female Staff
So what do you do when you run a Turkish hotel and keep finding out about your male employees having affairs with female guests? Well, why not fire all the men and hire an all female staff?
No followup for the story has been posted, but I wonder if now they receive a bunch of complaints about female staff winding up with male guests? I don’t know about you, but it sure sounded like the guests were getting some great treatment from the male employees. They don’t mention ever having complaints and do say the men were having “affairs” with the women, not harassing them or anything. I guess if the male staff neglected their duties because of their interactions with the guests, it’d be grounds for action. But to eliminate the all males rather than just the troublemakers? Wait… why am I complaining? A hotel filled with all women staff members may be a great draw for the establishment.

Abercrombie & Fitch Punishes Ugly Employees
All forms discrimination at work are bad right? Well, not according to Abercrombie & Fitch, a company that has apparently been judging it’s employees based on their appearance. “There’s no real problem to discriminate against ‘ugly’ people”, the lawyers say, but that doesn’t comfort the many retail workers who have found themselves in the back room due to their less than desirable looks.
Seems outrageous right? Oh, except for the fact that the retailer is trying to sell a look to people and that more attractive salespeople will not only better sell that message but will also be able to bring in more potential customers. If you went to a hair salon and all you saw were people with ugly haircuts, wouldn’t you think twice before having them cut your hair? Sure, Abercrombie & Fitch is selling clothing, and ugly people can still wear nice clothing, but when they are shooting for what’s hip and cool, they’d be at a disadvantage if most of their employees weren’t attractive.
File that under stop being ugly.

Greener Grass Ain’t so Green
You think you’re job is bad? Tell that to Todd D., who recounts his experience changing jobs thinking he had found a greener pasteur to program in. Unfortunately for Todd (but fortunately for us readers), his new job ended up being much, much worse.
It’s a demoralizing story, but a humorous one at that. Of course, if the story gets you thinking about your own company and all the things that bug you about it, well, it quickly turns funny to depressing. So let’s just laugh at and sympathize with Todd while pretending that our own job shares nothing in common with his.
