I always wondered why fitness centers have mirrors everywhere...

Running on a treadmill facing a mirror could make the effort feel easier, reports a study in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.

When subjects ran while watching themselves, they used their oxygen more efficiently, enabling them to run faster with less effort.

Watching rhythmic movements helps your mind and body relax; this translates into a more efficient running style, says lead author Daniel Eaves, M.Res., of the University of Teesside in England.

I've found that watching myself work up a sweat can be very motivating and actually helps me results over time.

There's a method to the madness when it comes to getting arms like a celebrity; The Tracy Anderson Method, that is. The trainer to A-listers Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, shares a workout for sculpting sexy arms in the video below:

The plan Complete one set of each exercise every other day. You'll need a pair of 3-pound dumbbells. "Don't go any heavier," Anderson cautions. "Lighter weights and higher reps are key to chiseling your arms in a very sexy, detailed way." As you become stronger, tack on additional reps—up to 10 at a time. Anderson's clients often eke out 100 reps per move in a session.

Thanks SELF!

Actress Melissa Joan Hart claims that taking care of her sons Mason, 3, and Braydon, 8 months is quite the workout.

"You don't have time to eat because you're chasing them all the time!" she said Friday at the Jonas Brothers launch of 77 Kids by American Eagle in Los Angeles. "You kind of lift them in the car seat, out of the car seat, in the highchair, out of the highchair."

Most people think of Thanksgiving as a day to fill themselves with turkey, stuffing and buttery mashed potatoes. For me the holiday is much different, because I'm the only vegan/vegetarian in my family. Also, I'm very busy on the holidays, therefor I don't have much time to prepare food for myself. Last year my meal consisted of plain green beans and butternut squash. This year I'm hoping to find myself a Tofurky Roast & Gravy. I'm generally not one to eat processed soy-meat loaded with sodium, but for this occasion I might make an exception. And if you'd like to have a vegetarian thanksgiving feast, you can enter to win a tofurky from Peta. Good Luck!
