During our time away, we re-discovered our love of tennis. When you can't stand Tim Henman or Andy Murray, it's not always such a pleasure to follow British tennis coverage. But with a particularly good Wimbledon and the Olympics this year, it was too hard to resist the lure of some old (and new) favourite players. Between June and October, we must have collected a good five thousand pictures from the various tournaments. It was a big job, but we've now uploaded the vast majority of them to the site. Today's update is therefore tennis themed, but there are plenty of other goodies further down the page for those of you who - for some odd reason - don't like to look at Spanish beefcakes or girls in short dresses who don't mind grunting loudly in public.
Firstly, we've added four new pages to our favourite player's gallery - Maria Sharapova. There are a large number of high quality photoshoots and a huge array of action shots from the various tournaments this year. There are also some pictures from Maria's training sessions and, as big fans of the Virtua Tennis video games, we were pleased to see that today's players really do take part in fun mini-games involving hockey sticks and rugby balls. However, there was no sign of a huge dumper truck spilling giant strawberries, pears and pineapples all over the court. A disappointment, we're sure you'll agree.
Next, a new gallery for Jelena Jankovic. Once again, there are pictures from various events this year, including the Beijing Olympics, plus Jelena's training sessions. She prefers the "balancing a dozen balls on one racquet" technique, which we hope to see featured in Virtua Tennis 4.
New galleries have also been created for two of our other favourites - Ana Ivanovic and Rafael Nadal. Both are whoppers, filled with three pages of high quality action shots and a good number of photoshoots.
We've made new pages for Alize Cornet, Elena Dementieva, Nicole Vaidisova, Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
Just for good measure, we've also added a gallery for one of our long-standing favourites - Martina Hingis - and updated the Anna Kournikova page. Both contain some lovely high quality photoshoots and action shots.
Changing to a different sport now, we've added high quality pictures from the Beijing 2008 Heptathlon to the Kelly Sotherton page. We particularly love the atmospheric third picture which looks up at Kelly surrounded by the fantastic Olympic stadium.
Updated the Danica Patrick gallery with a very sexy set of pictures.
On a complete different theme, we've added some gorgeous photoshoots to the Kate Hudson gallery.
Updated the Beyonce page with some photoshoots and live performance pictures.
Finally, we've added new galleries for Naomi Watts and Selena Gomez. Both contain a number of high quality photoshoots.
