Beyonce strikes a pose for V Magazine

She's known as the sexy, strong, fierce singer famous for her stylish outfits and curvy figure.

But Beyoncé sheds her tough outer skin to reveal a softer side in a new interview as she begins the exhaustive preparations for her 110-date tour starting next year.

'When I'm onstage I'm aggressive and strong and not afraid of my sexuality. The tone of my voice gets different, and I'm fearless. I'm just a different person'.
Beyoncé strikes a pose for V Magazine as she talks about her image: 'It's really hard to stay on earth sometimes when you're a celebrity'

And the name of that different person? Her alter ego, 'Sasha Fierce', whose name is the title of the second CD of her new 17-track double album.

'It's a way for me to differentiate what I do onstage from who I really am - It's a way for me to not lose myself, to keep my life in perspective, because it's really hard sometimes to stay on earth when you're a celebrity.

'There's so much going on, and so many people give you whatever you want and say everything you do is great.'
The singer starts a 'stripped down, but bigger than ever' 110-date tour in April and is planning a stylish entrance

'At this point, I kind of have it down. I know boundaries, and I can look at somebody and say I don't want them in my circle.

'I've been doing this for twelve years professionally, and I've learned. it's easier now.

'Fame is a lot of work, but it doesn't consume my life. I'm not obsessed.'
Dressed to impress: 'When I'm onstage I'm aggressive and strong and not afraid of my personality'

The singer tells V Magazine (www.vmagazine.com) that her new tour will be 'stripped down, but also bigger' than 2007's appropriately titled 'Beyoncé Experience'.

In that show she made her entrance in a cloud of theatrical smoke wearing a floor-length, cracked disco ball dress while pyrotechnics rained down behind her, and commandingly asked the audience, in three distinct parts: 'Ladies and gentlemen. Are you ready. To be entertaaaaaaaaaaaained?'

Transformation: Beyoncé storms the cover of V Magazine

'It's funny because right before the show I'm under the stage making sure my double-stick is in the right place, my pack is turned on, and my shoes have the stickies on the bottom so I don't slip - all of these things that are so not glamorous.

'Then I take my last slip of water, clear my throat, close my eyes, and tell myself: "You are fierce. You are fierce. You are fierce!"

'And the second I take that first step and hear the crowd, I kind of transform. By the time I get up to the stage, I'm in the zone.

'It's like I'm ready for war.'

V Magazine (www.vmagazine.com) asked top photographer Bruce Weber to shoot Beyoncé for the cover, and the songstress arrived at the shoot in an Obama state of mind, wearing an Obama T-shirt and with the president-elect’s surname manicured on her fingernails.
Striking a pose: Alternative covers for V Magazine's Beyoncé edition

Her mood was matched by the magazine, which prepared 50,000 'Obama's in the House' red, white and blue stickers to add to front cover.

Editor Stephen Gan said 'the issues were on their way to newsstands and this was our own small way of commemorating the moment.'

Also in the issue is Steven Meisel’s take on a recent U.K. trend of 'dogging', in which young couples engage in explicit activities in parked cars and public parks.

Meisel shot 28 pages and the model-filled images represent his first shoot for the magazine.

Dani Behr show off her toned figure

Forget personality and charm, Dani Behr appears to have just one weapon in her battle to win I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here! - her bikini body.

The competition hasn't even begun, but the former TV presenter is already taking every opportunity to shows off her toned figure.

She slipped into a string two-piece today - her third in under 48 hours - for a frolic along Surfers Paradise beach.
Behr it: I'm A Celebrity... contestant Dani hit Surfers Paradise beach today wearing her third bikini in two days

She sashayed along the beach with a full face of make-up in a red and white number before returning for a second round in a black and brown costume.

A day earlier, Dani, dressed in a black bikini, enjoyed the Australian sunshine with her husband Carl Harwin and two children as they played on the beach.

An original WAG after relationships with footballers Ryan Giggs and Les Ferdinand, the former host of The Word is hoping her jungle appearance will revive her profile.
Costume change: Dani was also photographed on the beach today in a red two-piece

Working it: Dani did her best to show off her toned figure

The former party girl said: 'I've been away and off UK television for so long, so it's probably the fastest way to come back.'

And she looks set to base her jungle strategy on former contestant Myleene Klass, whose bikini-clad waterfall showers played a hand in rejuvenating her career.

Dani's competition in the glamour stakes will be Page 3 model Nicola McLean and WAG Carly Zucker, who is also a fitness instructor - and who both are on far lower fees than her.

While Behr is set to rake in £40,000 for her stint on the show, Zucker will only get £10,000 and McLean is on £7,500.
Itsy bitsy: A day earlier, the television presenter strutted along the foreshore in a black number
The gang of 10 celebrities also includes tennis star Martina Navratilova, 52, outspoken ex-MP Robert Kilroy-Silk, 64, TV presenter Esther Rantzen, 68, and ex-Star Trek star George Takei, 71.

Other celebrities who will arrive at the camp, in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, are former police chief Brian Paddick, 50, Joe Swash, 26, who played Mickey Miller in EastEnders, and Simon Webbe, 30, formerly of boyband Blue.

The mix of contestants is said to be the most 'combustible' yet, promising to spark friction in the jungle.

The eighth series of the ITV show kicks off on Sunday.

The girls of Ryanair strip off for the 2009 charity calendar

Low-cost airline Ryanair has flown into a storm after its latest charity calendar was branded sexist.

A series of glossy photos feature scantily-clad female cabin crew who look more like page three pinups than plane staff.

But despite raising money for homeless charity Dublin Simon Community, the calendar has already run into trouble.

Wet n' Wild: The girls of Ryanair strip off for the 2009 charity calendar

The Institute for Women in Spain is considering legal action and intends to complain to Irish and EU authorities that the publication is sexist as it only features female models.

In a statement, it said: 'It is significant that only women are used, in a sector in which there is a considerable percentage of men.'

January: Miss Fuel Pump

February: Miss Lookout

Spokesman María Jesús Ortiz claimed the images presented the women as 'sexual objects.'

'We're not talking about morals or nudity here, it's simply how women are portrayed,' she said.

'If there had been men in the calendar I'm sure there would have been no controversy.'

The Institute became involved after a complaint from consumer group FACUA, which claimed the images promoted macho behaviour.

'The company is attacking the dignity of women workers in general and especially of cabin crew members, by presenting stereotypical images of these professionals which they have spent years struggling against,' a spokesman added.

Last year's Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar raised over 70,000 euros for the Angels Quest Charity.

A Ryanair spokesman said: "The 2009 edition, which was shot in Spain in September, is even more colourful and sexy and should sell like hot cakes,"

March: Miss Check-in

April: Miss Cockpit

"It will make the ideal Christmas present, or a New Year gift which will remind people not just of Europe's favourite low fares airline, but the gorgeous girls you can meet on board Ryanair flights," she added.

Ryanair has sent a free copy of the Ryanair Cabin Crew 2009 charity calendar to the FACUA which last year objected to Ryanair's 2008 calendar.

May: Miss Engineer

June: Miss Control Tower

The airline has also sent a free copy to Swedish politician Birgitta Ohlsson, who recently criticised a Ryanair advert which used a scantily-clad model.

The Dublin Simon Community's Sam McGuinness said: "With Government funding constraints we now, more than ever, depend on the generosity of corporate supporters, such as Ryanair, to continue to provide services and shelter to those seeking our assistance."

July: Miss Take-off

August: Miss Mechanic

Simon Community said the number of people requiring the assistance of its Rough Sleeper Team rose by 50% during the first half of 2008.

September: Miss Wet and Miss Wild

October: Miss Safety

The charity said the Government should have done more during better economic times to eliminate homelessness as it claimed it is faced with the prospect of even more homeless people facing into tougher and less secure times.

The calendar can be purchased for ten euros either directly from Ryanair flights or through the Ryanair.com website.

November: Miss Hostess

December: Miss Runuway

David Walliams goes for the feminine look in a startling photoshoot

David Walliams is no stranger to cross-dressing, having appeared in many frou frou dresses to play Eddie 'Emily' Howard in Little Britain.

And now the comedian has taken his love for ladies' clothes one step further as he poses in a high fashion shoot for a magazine.

While few would disagree the Little Britain star is really working his 'catalogue model' style poses, his attempts to look like a 'laydee' are severely diminished by his hairy legs.
Nice dress, shame about the legs: David Walliams goes for the feminine look in a salmon pussybow mini dress

In one humorous shot, David gives a seductive look at the camera as he sits on an antique chair dressed in a Stella McCartney, salmon mini-dress.

His look is completed with patent killer heels, given an extra sparkle with feathered bows hanging off the ankle.

In another shot, David contrasts his muscly arms and back with a strapless ballgown in a spectacular bid to look feminine.

Dressed in a corset and Vivienne Westwood floral skirt, David's 6ft 3 height is given an extra boost as he stands on a chair to allow his netted underskirt to flow to the floor.

While a majority of the shots were taken inside, brave David brought his feminine fashion outside for one shot as he struck a pose in a Vivienne Westwood black and brown dress, a fascinator on his head and a cigarette holder protruding from his mouth and a Chanel bag on his arm.

Standing outside a Chanel boutique, David aped the style of a Sloane Ranger out on a shopping spree in Knightsbridge.

Frock shock: David shows a lot of leg in a tent-like polka dot creation

The 37-year-old wore the series of stylish ensembles to promote his new children's book The Boy In A Dress for an interview with Parade magazine.

The book is written by David and narrated by Quentin Blake.

It tells the story of a young boy called Dennis who likes to dress in women's clothes and his bid to be accepted by his peers.

Describing his opinion of cross-dressing, David said: 'I didn't want it to be seen purely as a metaphor for that, but... the truth about... transvestites.

'The truth is that it doesn't really mean you're gay. As anyone who has watched Kilroy, and seen transvestite truckers and soldiers being interviewed next to their long-suffering wives, will know.'

Walliams is currently starring onstage in a new West End production of Harold Pinter play No Man's Land which previewed last night.

An experience he admits, he initially found disconcerting when he first turned up for rehearsals.

'I thought, I don’t really know what the rules are. Are we allowed to go and have a cup of tea when we want?

'Do we have to ask the director when we need to go the toilet?'

He needn't have worried, Evening Standard critic Nicholas De Jongh called his performance in the show 'dazzling'.

He attended the after-party with co-star Michael Gambon last night.
