4th generation Honda Odyssey Upcoming

Japan’s Honda Odyssey is different from the minivan we get here in the States and the upcoming 4th generation people mover has gone online courtesy of a new website. The teaser site showcases a JDM Odyssey which, with its station wagon proportions, has proven popular in Asia and Europe where things tend to be weigh less and pack smaller. With the price of gas as high as it is right now, it might not be long before Honda sends over some of its petite offerings (as it has done with the Honda Fit).

What we do know is that the new Odyssey will get a new multi-view camera system which displays views from a total of 4 wide-angle CCD cameras on a navigation screen to reduce blindspots and help with parallel or garage parking. The CCD cameras are installed on the front and rear of the vehicle as well as on the wing mirrors.

Images from the 4 cameras are synthesized and additional information is added such as a projection line which shows the vehicle’s projected trajectory path calculated based on steering angle information. You can use this trajectory path to help align the car to reverse into a parking lot and position the Odyssey with higher accuracy. Also added is a refernce line which provides a reference for distance between the vehicle and other objects.

Look after the jump for more views from the new camera system.

Final Design of Proton MPV

This is final design of Proton MPV?. The design look likes more to Honda Odessey rather than Toyota Wish. But as a Malaysian people, we must proud for our national car aslo the first local MPV in Malaysia likes korean people proud with KIA and Hyundai.

Proton Team said:

It is comfortable:
It means more leg rooms, more space to carry your luggage and most of all it is a car for the entire family to travel in.

It is affordable:
Malaysians love value-for-money and Proton MPV is giving Malaysians just that!

So, we wait and see for the launching Proton MPV on this March 2009 and also the name of this Proton MPV :P

Renault-Nissan turbocharged Born

The Renault-Nissan Alliance’s new TCe 130 engine is said to combine the best parts of both the European and Japanese halves of the partnership - Nissan’s petrol engine expertise and Renault’s turbocharging and combustion experience.

The new TCe 130 engine is a 1,397cc engine derived from the HR family of engines, which currently consist of the HR15DE and the HR16DE. The HR16DE is no stranger as it is found in both the Nissan Latio and Nissan Grand Livina found in our local market. In Renault nomenclature it is called the H4Jt (Nissan HR14DET?) and joins its Renault-derived TCe 100 1.2 liter turbocharged D4F engine as part of a family of new downsized and force inducted engines for better fuel economy and lower emissions.

The 1.4 liter engine has an aluminium sump and a quick-spooling turbocharger. Its head has been redesigned to feature ports that create a swirling effect in the airflow which mixes the air-fuel mixture more evenly, improving combustion and as a result, torque at low revs. The head also has a continuously variable camshaft angle for the intake. The use of a low-noise timing chain increases durability.

The Euro 5 compliant engine produces 130 horsepower at 5,500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 2,250rpm. It will be used in C-segment Renault cars such as the new Renault Megane III and upcoming MPVs based on the new Megane III platform. No news yet on which Nissans will use this engine.

WALD E90 Sports Line for the BMW 3-Series

Them boys at Japanese tuner Wald International can truly do some amazing things, for example - they turned this E90 BMW 3-Series Sedan into some mutated Brabus Mercedes-Benz C-Class wannabe. This kit is called the WALD E90 Sports Line and features a new front bumper with Brabus-like dual foglamps (even the foglamps are complete with angel eye rings), side skirts, a complicate rear bumper with quad tailpipes, and large 19 inch wheels.
