Carolina Panthers: The Quietest Team In The NFL!!!

Carolina Panthers, The Quietest Team In The NFL 1 Comment »

Everyone is talking about the Dallas Cowboys being down, the New York Jets doing good with Brett Favre, the Tennessee Titans being undefeated, the New York Giants look like they will be back in the Super Bowl and the Atlanta Falcons being resurrected but what about the Carolina Panthers?

The Panthers have quietly become one the best teams in the NFL. The Panthers have arguably the best running back tandem in the NFL (DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart) and have the third best record in the NFL at 8-2. No one is talking about them at all and I would like to think that coach John Fox would love to keep it that way. GREAT JOB PANTHERS!!!

Marion Barber Leads As Cowboys Defeat Redskins

Dallas Cowboys, Marion Barber, Washington Redskins No Comments »

The Dallas Cowboys win their 6th game of the season as they defeated the Washington Redskins 14-10. Marion Barber led the way with his 114 yards and one touchdown. In Tony Romo’s return from his broken pinkie he was 19 of 27 for 198 yards one touchdown to rookie tight end Martellus Bennett and two interceptions. The Dallas defense also played well led by Jay Ratliff with his two sacks on Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell. This was a must win for the Cowboys and they got it done. GREAT JOB COWBOYS!!!

Syracuse Fires Greg Robinson; MKRob Scores Hat Trick

College Football, Greg Robinson, Syracuse Orangemen No Comments »

Syracuse university head coach Greg Robinson was fired today with just 2 games left in the season. Up to date Robinson’s three plus years includes no bowl games, no winning seasons and a record of 9-35.

I posted a story on October 14th entitled “Should Any Of These College Coaches Get Fired???” and there were three coaches that were named on that post and all three coaches are now officially fired from their respective teams. HAT TRICK!!!

Is John Lynch A Hall of Famer??? NO WAY!!!

John Lynch 1 Comment »

As you may have already heard from ESPN reports, 15-year veteran safety John Lynch will announce his retirement on Monday. Lynch wants to retire as a Buccaneer and Bronco. With every retirement of a long time veteran comes Hall of Fame talk. Well Hall of Fame and John Lynch should not even come up in the same sentence unless you are saying he will be attending the ceremonies of former teammates Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber. I understand that he went to 9 Pro Bowls in his career but everyone knows the Pro Bowl is popularity contest. From my research in how Hall of Famers are picked, statistics are #1 and Super Bowl rings are #2. His statistics are horrible and he only has one Super Bowl ring.

ESPN has his statistics down as 1,277 tackles, 100 pass breakups and 26 interceptions in a 15-year span, this is absolutely terrible. No one makes the Hall of Fame based off tackles and pass breakups so we can exclude those two. So we are down to 26 interceptions in 15 years. Are you kidding me? 26 interceptions in 15 years? *shaking head* I didn’t know how sucky John Lynch was until I saw his statistics. How did he make 9 Pro Bowls? Ridiculous. With these stats his name should not even be on the ballot in 2013. There are 9 true safeties in the Hall of Fame as we speak and there is no way John Lynch is a top 10 safety of all-time.

On defense the cornerbacks are expected to get the most interceptions, then the safeties and last the linebackers. Now check this out: Actively there are five safeties and two linebackers that have more interceptions than Lynch. The most amazing is middle linebacker Ray Lewis with 27. For those who don’t know, middle linebackers main job is to tackle and Ray Lewis has more interceptions than the safety John Lynch. One argument that may come up is the fact that he was a strong safety and you get less interceptions at that position. WRONG!!! Strong safety Sammy Knight has 42 interceptions in his 11 years in the league. Knight has 16 more interceptions in 4 less years. Strong safety LeRoy Butler has 38 interceptions in 12 years and has a Super Bowl ring but will LeRoy Butler get in to the Hall. NO!!! Lynch will not get in.

Pistons Hand Lakers First Loss of the Season 106-95

Allen Iverson, Detroit Pistons, Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers No Comments »

The Detroit Pistons defeated the Lakers Friday night in L.A. to give the Lakers their first loss of the season. It took a complete team effort to get the job done, but they did it. The Pistons center Rasheed Wallace, guard Allen Iverson and forward Tayshawn Prince combined for 68 points to lead the Pistons to a 106-95 win. Kobe Bryant finished with 29 points, in a losing effort. With the victory the Pistons improve to 7-2 and the Lakers move to 7-1.
