Girls, we are to be “living epistles” of God’s goodness and grace. Right?
Well, just because we are to be “known and read by all men,” I’m sure this latest study is not what God has in mind when he inspired Paul to write that. From the press release:
A national survey of 779 U.S. Christian women conducted by NationalChristianPoll.com shows more than a quarter personally experienced sexually inappropriate behavior, and one-fourth who experienced it said it happened in a church or ministry setting.
I realize that’s not scientific by any means, but why is this the case? I know, I know. You are thinking about that one girl in singles who dresses like… well, she’ll ALWAYS be single. I’m talking about that (although that is funny).
There are women in Christian environments across the country who get those looks, those comments and maybe those touches from other so-called Christian men. Ladies, this press release has an alarming headline, “Are women SILENT VICTIMS of sexual harassment?”
That should never be the case. We are equipped with the same spirit of boldness men have. Don’t ever be afraid to stand up for the rights God has given you and to be the women you righteously are. Not to mention, the U.S. Penal Code says you have certain rights of which those men may need to be reminded.
At any rate, we are all to have hands of love [cool picture, huh?]. So the next time you are approached by one of the dirty old men mentioned in this press release, make sure there is no inappropriate “laying on of hands.” Let’s keep them biblical, girls.
What say you?
